GWEN COVINGTON began her professional recording career in 1990 as background vocalist with Minister Randy Cotton & Nissi of Miami, Florida. During that time, she appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel TV International and performed as guest artists at concerts featuring Evangelist Dorothy Norwood, Richard Smallwood & Smallwood Singers, The Grace Thrillers of Jamaica, comedian/activist Dick Gregory, actor Danny Glover, Tremaine Hawkins, Revelation S.E.E.D., Ricky Dillard, and many more. Prior to recording her debut CD “That’s Him” on EGi records in 2008, she worked as a studio session singer, recording commercial jingles and demos. She demonstrated her acting skills in her debut lead role along with celebrity comedian Dexter Tucker in the stage play, A Family Divided (2015). When she and her husband Will, Grammy Award-winning drummer, founded Entertainment Galore, she used this opportunity to gain behind-the-scene music industry expertise in artist management, event planning & promotions, concert production & stage management, music publishing, and talent bookings. She coordinated countless special events projects for clients like the NFL Superbowl XXIX, the Olympics, Miami Heat, BET TV, Zora Festival, City of Miami, Florida Memorial University, Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, various Fraternal organizations, Gospel Goes Classical 2018 featuring Denyce Graves & Bebe Winans, So You Want Your Name In Lights Music Summer Youth Camp, and many more. She has negotiated contracts for celebrity entertainers O’Jays, David Clayton Thomas (Blood, Sweat, Tears), Sly Stone, The Manhattans, The Delphonics, Najee, and many more. She has received numerous accolades for her across-the-board contributions while she continues to support other performing artists. She has been a contributing writer for several print media outlets and past radio co-host for five years on Stellar Award-winning station WOKB-1680am (Orlando).
