Apple Music launched in South Korea this August, just one day after it launched in Israel. South Korea is the eighth largest music market in the world. With its expansion into the land of K-pop, Apple leaves out one major part of its service: iTunes (downloads).
South Korea is the second country (after China) where consumers can only access streaming service Apple Music, and not iTunes. This is a remarkable but also expected development as Apple is shifting its focus on streaming while downloads are declining.
